We are hosting an event on 12 December, and we're looking for a talented saxophonist to provide some beautiful background music. We believe that the addition of a saxophonist will create a wonderful ambiance for our guests. The event will last for 4 hours and could be broken down into multiple sets. Thomas and Jane Rose and their four children were the first family of free settlers to arrive in the Colony aboard the Bellona on 16th January 1793 so Monday 16th January 2023 is 230 years to the day. The T&JRF Society in conjunction with Sydney Tall Ships will be staging a re-enactment at Campbells Cove Jetty, The Rocks, with descendants of the Rose family representing Thomas and Jane and their children. As Secretary of the Society I maintain a Facebook page and group (also Twitter & Insta). There has been a lot of interest from Dorset UK where they were originally from and other international places. I want to Livestream to Facebook and film the event as a keepsake of this important event in Australia's history.
