What do fridge removal experts do?

Fridge pick-up
The fridge removal team will arrange a time to pick up the old appliance from wherever it's located in your home and load it onto their vehicle, so you don't need to do any heavy lifting or take it to the curb. They'll take care not to cause any damage to your property on the way.
Refrigerant removal and disposal
However old the appliance is, fridges and freezers contain chemicals and oils that can pollute the environment if they're released. Under Australian federal law, these need to be removed and disposed of carefully and responsibly. Removal companies will transport your fridge to a facility where refrigerants such as Freon can be safely extracted.
Fridge recycling
Once the chemicals have been removed, your old fridge will be dismantled and its materials separated for recycling. Many parts of a fridge or freezer can be recycled into new products, including metals, plastics and glass.
New fridge installation
If you've bought a new fridge or freezer to replace the old one, you can check if the removal service also offers a fridge installation. They can set up your new fridge in the same location as the old one so it's ready to go.
