Attach a piece of hessian (w2400mm x h900mm) to the fence to comply with council's pool barrier direction. It's just a small area, use wire or fish line to tie the hessian onto the fence, has to be done professionally. Hessian and wire will be provided, but you may bring your tools to finish the work.

Hi, we need help to set up 2 fences to block off our backyard so we can have our dog there without him getting out. We are renting so minimal structural impact on the house is essential. It should also ideally be easy to remove the fences. Fence needs to be around 180cm high. We need to replace three glass panels on our pool fence and attach the glass to new pergola posts. The fixings/glazing posts need to match the existing ones elsewhere on the fence. We also need to replace the hinges on one gate. We need the parts sourced and installed. You will need to do a proper measurement but the glass is about 1160mm high by 1045mm, 1050mm and 1065mm wide. The existing glazing posts are 25mm x 25mm but there is a wider one on one gate so 50mm x 50 mm would be acceptable too. Picture of the gaps, current posts and hinges are provided. We’re seeking a carpenter to help us cover 5 x galvanised steel fence posts. The fence is new, looking for a solution to cover the steel with either recessed treated pine posts, or to build boxes around them. Nothing bulky, just to dress it up prior to painting. Ideally each post will also have a timber cap. We know it’s possible as a landscaper did this for us at a former home, looked amazing. My neighbour and I want to build a dividing fence on top of an existing 600mm high retaining wall that runs along our shared boundary line. To do so, we need to verify the depth of the concrete piers that hold the UCs (steel ubeam soldiers) supporting the retaining wall sleepers. Access to the piers is currently blocked by a 2200mm high lap and cap timber fence that runs alongside the retaining wall (offset by ~200mm). I have included photos of what the retaining wall looks like with and without the fence and a diagram showing what we are trying to confirm. This job entails: 1) Remove a fence panel to gain access to a portion of the retaining wall. Access to the fence will be from the side of the fence opposite the retaining wall (my property). 2) Excavate around one of the concrete piers of the wall using a shovel and pick until you find the bottom of the pier (expected to be 500mm - 1000mm deep and 450mm wide). Pile the soil on the opposite side of the retaining wall. 3) Measure the depth and width of the pier -- take photographic evidence of the depth and width. 4) If the depth is less than 1000mm, immediately replace the fence panel. - Due date: Before Saturday, 30 September 2023
