We bought a townhouse recently where the house is built on a downward hill. The garden has levels. The first level has a timber retaining wall. The second level has no retaining wall and is held on by tree roots. The previous owner seemed to have tried to temporarily “fix” this issue by stacking lots of plant pots onto the wall to weigh it down. Third level has rocks as a retaining wall. We also asked the Bunnings community website where someone suggested a gabion wall but a friend suggested against this as this would put lots of weight on the soil which may be unstable (especially if we get large rainfall) We are also wondering if we can remove that whole area of artificial grass and make a very high retaining wall to allow more space on the second level where there is grass. The dimensions for the area with the missing retaining wall is approximately 8.6m long and 1.2m high (this is from the grass up to the artificial grass) Looking for quotes

Need two 400mm high (2x sleeper height) timber sleeper retaining walls installed approx 500mm off the back boundary. One is 5.5m long and one is 6.6m long. Need posts concreted into ground properly and timber sleepers attached to posts. Good access as currently vacant block. Tasker to supply all materials and labour required. Posts can be steel or timber. No excavation or backfill required (just digging of post holes).

Wipe off any sand or dirt by cleaning the surface. Using a roller and small brush cut in and coat the wall with primer. I think this would take max 3.5 hours.
